Brought the Happy Kitchen set at Paradigm Mall (Japan Food Fair) recently..
My friend and I decided to get this doughnut set , as the product seem more cute,
and doughnut is relevant with sweetness. (I hardly imagine Sushi set in sweet taste).
So, here you go,
my very first step by step post..
and my very first try on Happy kitchen set =)
This is what inside the box
And, the extra tool that you need in making Doughnut
Step1 Prepare
Open the decoration -cookies/chocolate chips & sprinkles, place on a container
here I use paper cup as container.
Then, you also need to cut of part A and B (based on the picture). It will be more convenient in later step.
Step 2 Making Dough
Open the dough pack and mix it
You will need to add some water ( not more than the line on container)
Basically, this is how it look like, when you mixing the dough powder.
Ta da,
Then you got the original and chocolate dough.
Step 3 Molding
Cut the dough into (approximately) 5 per flavor.
and then place and press it into the mold.
Use the spoon to press and take off the doughnut from the mold.
Then,
you got something like this.
Play some creativity here, you can either mix it or be original.
There are three different pattern in the doughnut mold.
I prefer the shape that i mixed black and white (in the center)
Step 4 Icing
Here come the "mafan" and messy part
Mixing icing powder!!
Firstly, you would like to mix Chocolate favor.
You will need one scoop of water by using the measurement cup (the cut Triangles)
Surprising, with little water, the icing look like icing =P
Then, place the chocolate icing into the piping bag.
Cut off the corner of piping bags and place one side.
Then, WASH of the chocolate icing, wipe dry the container and spoon.
and REPEAT the mixing icing step by using strawberry and Vanilla icing powder.
Then you got something like this, glue-ly like icing.
Step 5 Decoration
Last step,
decorate your doughnut.
you might need some helps in picking sprinkles.
If you are looking for nice and tidy look, it is advice to use clamps/satay stick/spoon.
RESULT
This is what I made...
It look so cute and mini =)
Zoom in into the deco
Strawberry+chips, chocolate vanilla sprinkles, and MJ chocolate.
Then, i play around with icing..
Using satay stick to make the love shape like icing (from the left)
clamping the mini dots from sprinkles and place on strawberry icing..
and simply adding chips on strawberry icing =P
From the left
Mable like icing with dots
double chocolate with chips
Choco-berry sprinkles
and a super simple one, Pinky sprinkles
Well, That's all for today sharing...
I try to eat 2 of it..
not that bad as I imagine..
But, not my cup of tea..
anyways, compare to normal masak-masak by cooking leaf, flower and sand..
This Japanese cooking set kinda fun for spend time...
however, it is slightly expensive for children play..
